The Human Resource Management (HRM) module within the Softsasi ERP system is designed to streamline your "People Operations," from the first day of onboarding to monthly payroll processing. This guide will walk you through the essential steps to set up and manage your HRM module effectively.



1. Initial HRM ConfigurationBefore adding employees, you must define the structure of your organization.
A. Departments and DesignationsNavigate to HRM > Organization > Departments.
  • Create high-level categories (e.g., EngineeringMarketingOperations).
  • Under each department, define Designations (e.g., Senior DeveloperAccount Manager). This structure ensures that your organizational chart is clear and your reporting lines are automated.
B. Working Hours and ShiftsGo to HRM > Settings > Shifts.
  • Define your standard business hours.
  • Softsasi supports Flexible/Rotational Shifts. This is essential if you have a 24/7 support team or partial remote staff.
  • Set up Holidays and Weekend defaults so your attendance tracking is accurate from Day 1.

2. Onboarding EmployeesEach employee gets a secure "Profile" within your ERP.

Step 1: Personal and Professional DataAdd the employee's basic info, including contact details and emergency contacts.

  • [ ] Professional: Date of joining, Designation, and Assigned Department.
