A successful project is not just a collection of tasks; it is a journey over time. To help you plan your business growth, Softsasi provides a Project Roadmap—a strategic timeline that shows the "Full Picture" of your development lifecycle. While the Kanban board shows you what is happening today, the Roadmap shows you what will happen this month and next quarter. This guide explains how to use the roadmap to synchronize your marketing and operations with our development.

1. What is the Project Roadmap?

The Roadmap is a high-level visualization of your project's development phases. It groups related tasks into "Stints" or "Sprints" and lays them out over a calendar view.

  • Phase 1: Design & Prototyping (Focus on UI/UX).
  • Phase 2: Core Development (Focus on Logic & Database).
  • Phase 3: Integration & Testing (Focus on Payments & Security).
  • Phase 4: Deployment & Marketing Support (Focus on Go-Live).

2. Accessing the Roadmap View

Within your Project Workspace, look for the "Timeline" or "Roadmap" tab.

  • The Progress Bar: A real-time calculation showing how much of the project is finished (e.g., "75% Complete").
  • Dependencies: You can see which tasks must be finished before the next ones can begin. Example: "Logo Design" must be 100% complete before "Brand Identity Implementation" starts.

3. Synchronizing Your Business Growth

The primary benefit of the Roadmap is that it allows you to plan your own business activities around our code.

  1. Marketing Prep: If the roadmap shows "Launch" is 4 weeks away, you can start running your social media "Coming Soon" campaigns.
  2. Staff Training: For ERP or School portals, you can schedule staff training sessions to coincide with the "User Testing" phase of the roadmap.
  3. Hiring: Use the roadmap to know when you will need a dedicated staff member to manage your new news portal or e-commerce store.

4. The Iterative Roadmap Cycle

5. Understanding Roadmap Adjustments

Software development is dynamic. Sometimes, a roadmap will shift.

  • The "Acceleration": If a task is easier than expected, your project manager will pull future tasks forward, potentially launching your project earlier than planned.
  • The "Constraint": If a third-party API (like a bank’s payment system) changes, the roadmap may shift to allow for extra development time. Note: Any significant roadmap change is always communicated to you via the project chat with a clear technical explanation.

6. Pro Tip: The "Post-Launch" Roadmap

[!TIP] Don't let your roadmap end at Version 1.0. Work with your Softsasi architect to build a "Scale-Up Roadmap". This identifies Version 2.0 features (like AI integration or mobile app expansion) that you can build once your initial launch starts generating revenue.
7. Summary

The Softsasi Project Roadmap is your window into the future. By tracking your progress over time rather than just by task, you gain the strategic clarity needed to run a professional, organized, and successful business.
